Week In Review

We had a fun-filled week in 4th grade! We started off the week with an awesome Halloween party. Below are some of the pictures I have from the event. Do you have more? I'd love to add them to our class collection, just send them over via email.

  • NO SCHOOL on November 7th & 8th.
  • Our annual Veteran's Day assembly will be held on November 11th. Please have your student wear red, white & blue on this day.

**Students also participating in Kids' Voting this week. We spent some time learning about the history of election day, how the presidential election works and researching each candidate. To see our full lesson, click here. Results will be live at the end of the day on Tuesday.

    "Navigating Nonfiction"

    • This week we continued our study of the structures of nonfiction texts. Students studied the following structures:
      • Cause/Effect
      • Problem/Solution
      • Compare/Contrast
      • Chronology
    Remember to read 30 minutes nightly! 

    Math

    "Multiplication & Division"

    • Mental Math - Using Compensation to Multiply
    • Arrays & Partial Products
    • Using Partial Products to Multiply
    Remember to practice math facts nightly! Students can log into XtraMath and practice at home.
