Welcome Back to School 4th Graders!
I am so happy I get to be your teacher this year! For some of you, this is our 2nd time together and I can't wait to learn with you again.
I hope you've had a great summer. I've been really busy. Here's a little bit about what I've been up to...
Right after school got out my family and I visited Nashville, Tennessee. We were there while the Predators were playing the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final. My husband, Frank, and I loved it! (It would have been better if we were watching the Blues in the Finals, but there's always next year.) We're huge hockey fans!
We also visited the Belle Meade Plantation, which has ties to the Civil War - we'll learn more about the Civil War this year!
After our trip to Nashville I enjoyed some time back in St. Louis with friends and family. I love to spend time at the Lake of the Ozarks. I've been spending summer weekends there with my family since I was 10 years old!
Right before we head back to school we'll be traveling to Denver, Colorado for my best friend's wedding. She's getting married on the side of a mountain, it's super cool! I'm sure I'll have plenty of stories to share with you when we get back to school.
I hope you'll take some time to check out our class website - there's tons of cool learning games and resources on here. Also get to know a little bit more about me here - Meet Mrs. Wood.
